Dental Technician Courses
DB Lab Supplies will be running practical courses for dental technicians throughout 2010 at an introductory and intermediate level. The courses are being held at Eastman Dental Institue.
The aim of this course is to introduce technicians who are interested in pursuing a career in orthodontics. Different types of anchorage and retention will be shown including, fabricating a Hawley Retainer, incorporating the use of cold cure acrylic featuring base plate, anterior bite planes and posterior capping. Expansion screws and their uses will also be shown and discussed.
The course is instructed by Ed Payne who is currently the Chief Technical Instructor in Orthodontics for Eastman Dental Institute. Ed has taught HNC and HND in Orthodontics at Lambeth College and was treasurer of the Orthodontic Technicians Association, he is at present a council member of the Association. He has lectured both home and abroad, most recently in Jordan after being invited by the Jordanian Orthodontic Society.
The Courses include 10 CPD Hours - 10 CPD Points
