The course will combine both theory and hands on practical modules. The two day course will build on the technicians orthodontic laboratory skills, and further their knowledge in the more advanced areas of orthodontic laboratory technology.
The two modules include the fabrication of a Mini Advanceable Frankel II appliance, and the fabrication of a Rapid Palatal Expander - featuring the new Powerscrew.

The course will combine both theory and hands on lab workshops. Delegates gain the opportunity to develop their orthodontic laboratory skills whilst discovering the full scope of advanced orthodontic laboratory work. The course includes the construction of a twin functional appliance, including Leone's two way POP expansion screw, and fixed rapid maxillary expander including Leone's self activated leaf spring expander.

Course lead by Mr Ed Payne. Ed qualified as a dental technician in 1974 at the Eastman Dental Hospital where he then took up the position of Orthodontic Technician. After passing his advance City & Guilds in Orthodontics, he went on to become Senior then Chief Technician before being made Senior Chief Instructor in Orthodontics for the Eastman Dental Institute, the position he holds at present. Ed is an experienced lecturer having spoken around the world on the subject of dental technology.
On completion of the course the delegate will be awarded 12 hours verifiable CPD.
