Course Instruction
The course will combine both theory and hands on practical modules. The two day course will build on the technicians' orthodontic laboratory skills, and further their knowledge in the more advanced areas of orthodontic laboratory technology. The two practical modules include the fabrication of a functional appliance - Twin Block including a 3 way expansion screw, and a Fixed Quad Helix. The course will develop the technicians' practical orthodontic laboratory skills whilst exposing them to the next level of advanced orthodontics.
Led by Mr Ed Payne
Ed qualified as a dental technician in 1974 at the Eastman Dental Hospital where he progressed through his career and achieved the position of Chief Technical Instructor. After spending 48 successful years at the Eastman, Ed has now retired from the Eastman Dental Institute and works for a number of different clinicians from his own private lab. Ed is an experienced lecturer having spoken around the world on the subject of dental technology.
On completion of the course the delegate will be awarded 12 hours verifiable CPD.
